Legenda of the diagrams
Outline of the diagrams
All compopnents of the hydraulic system are drawn in grey. They are connected by lines that represent the hydraulic pipes. The pipes have different colours in order to be able to distinguish them. In the Legenda of the drawings the meaning of the colours and the function of the pipes are marked out. For those who are familiar with the workshop manuals, the colours differ from the codes in the manual.
The colours in the legenda
At the bottom of each diagram there is a legenda of that diagram.
The red colour is used to mark out the high pressure pipes. These pipes come from the accumulators and go to the brake distribution valves and the height control system.
The green pipes are the low pressure pipes. They are the return pipes. The supply line of the master cylinder is also green, for this is a low pressure pipe too.
The pipes from the master cylinder to the brake pistons have a violet colour. This is to stress that this is a separate circuit.
The last colour in the diagram is the blue colour. This is used to mark out the solenoid pressure fluid. In principle this circuit is the same as the red high pressure fluid, but the blue colour is used to mark out that this is a separate circuit.
On every diagram there is an indication of the cars the diagram deals with. The word "Early" is used to mark out cars from the first years (1965 - 1967).
For an overview of the locations where you can find the components in the car you are referred to the cross section on page The hydraulic pipes.
